The recent introduction by the Government of legislation to limit social gathering to six people has caused a further delay and restrictions to the opening of the Radlett & District Museum. A “quiet opening” is planned for 10-12am on Saturday 17 October, when the number of visitors will be limited to four plus two volunteer-staff. Entry will be on a first-come-first- served basis. The Museum will be open thereafter at 10am on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Visitors will be required to wear a mask and hand sanitisers will be available. Social distancing measures will be put in place.
The Museum will offer permanent displays and themed exhibitions and recordings and transcripts of interviews with local residents. Off-site exhibitions, displays and talks will be offered. Educational visits will be encouraged.
Final arrangements will be displayed on posters around Radlett and surrounding areas and on www.radlettmuseum.com.
