Aldenham Parish Council is continuing to review its programme of public meetings, events and the services it delivers as it responds to the challenges presented by the coronavirus outbreak, following guidelines set out by Central Government. Its priority is to protect the health and safety of residents, customers and staff.
Following the statements made by the government the council offices at The Radlett Centre is closed, in fact the whole centre is closed.
The Radlett Neighbourhood Plan referendum, which was due to take place on Thursday 7 May, has been postponed by Hertsmere Borough Council, we hope that this will take place in the Autumn of 2020.
All council meetings have been cancelled whilst self-isolation has been imposed. We are awaiting legal advice on whether key decision-making meetings can be made via video conferencing.
The Annual Parish Meeting due on 30th March 2020 is also cancelled. Legally this should take place by the end of May, and again we are awaiting legal guidance.
The annual meeting of the council, when decisions regarding election of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council and formation of committees is made is due to take place on 26th May. This may be deferred until further advice is issued.
