Communities 1st Training

One of the highlights in recent news has been the proposed law to make British Sign Language a legally recognised language. This has received government backing and marks a significant step for those living with deafness. It will give the community greater access to services, helping those with deafness to reach their potential.

In partnership with Herts Hearing Advisory Services, we are offering free introductory sessions on communicating with those living with deafness and hearing loss. Our February British Sign Language class is now full! You can still sign up for our April session below.

This week we have also added our popular Dementia Friends Information sessions. These informative sessions give you the opportunity to learn more about Dementia and provide support and understanding to those living with the condition.

What training would you like to see available in the future? Which sessions have you found beneficial? Please email your suggestions and feedback to training@communities1st.org.uk.
