The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Radlett
This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, 70 years of service, having acceded to the throne on 6th February 1952 at only 25 years old.
Throughout 2022, Her Majesty and members of the Royal Family will travel around the country to undertake a variety of engagements to mark this historic occasion culminating with the focal point of the Platinum Jubilee, a specially extended bank holiday weekend in June providing the ideal opportunity for communities across the UK to come together and celebrate. We can’t wait!
Four days of official celebrations will include an array of events – from over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians Trooping the Colour to the lighting of beacons Nationwide (including here in Radlett), and from a special Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral to The Derby at Epsom Downs, a Platinum Party at the Palace aired on The BBC – and MUCH more! The entire Nation will be swept up in pride and excitement.

THE BEACON LIGHTING FUNFAIR & BARBEQUE – Thursday 2nd June / Tabard Rugby Club – 5:00pm – 10:00pm
To officially mark the Jubilee alongside thousands of communities across the Nation, this special afternoon and evening will see a myriad of delicious food stalls, live music acts and a fully stocked Clubhouse full of treats with the JUBILEE BEACON lighting at 9:45pm– all flanked by the most AMBITIOUS fairground rides ever staged as part of our series of community events!!!

THE RADLETT VILLAGE BIG JUBILEE LUNCH – Sunday 5th June / Our much-loved High Street – 12:00pm – 5:00pm
Do not miss out on the biggest street party in Radlett’s history! Bring your BEST cakes and sandwiches and enjoy an afternoon with friends. Set alongside, and with full support, from local shops and businesses, we can’t wait to see Radlett fly the flag for our monarch while enjoying family attractions, special tribute acts, independent food stalls and MUCH more to be announced. We may even see the Queen herself come by for a tipple with us!!
