Summertime Event

APC Summertime Event this year is taking place at Christ Church Field, Watling St, WD7 7JJ. Our Summertime Events are usually held at Phillimore Recreation Ground, but due to the cafe works this isn’t possible this year. Our thanks to Christ Church for allowing us to hold the event at their premises.

This community event is completely free (no registration required); 

  • no entry fee 
  • free face painting
  • free activities inc, bouncy castle, soft play, inflatable slide, bungee trampolines & gladiator dual!
  • free petting zoo
  • free craft making
  • free bubble fun
(the only thing you will need money for is food & drink and the ice-cream van)
 
Please note children must be supervised by a parent or adult at all times.
Parking;

Please note there will be no parking available at Christ Church, only for Blue Badge holders, which will have to be pre-booked. Please call 01923 856433 to reserve a space (limited spaces available). Through road from Christchurch Crescent to Watling Street will be CLOSED.

There is limited parking available across the road at King George V Playing Fields and the nearest paid car park is Newberries (5 mins walk). Please do walk to event where possible.

Accessibility;
  • Fast Track Access – if anyone finds queuing challenging, please find a member of staff or speak to the operator of the activity and we will make sure your child is placed at the front of the queue.
  • Quiet space is available in the Vision Hall for those who may need time away from crowds or noise.
  • Event is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Food & Drink;
There will be a food van selling food and drinks and a separate ice-cream van (payment required). Items available to purchase are;
  • Burgers / Cheeseburgers
  • Sausages / Hotdogs
  • Bacon Rolls
  • Chips
  • Veggie Burgers
  • Hot & Cold Drinks
  • Slush Puppies
  • Candy Floss / Popcorn / Sweets
Please do feel free to bring along a picnic and rug to enjoy on the field. We ask you to kindly use the bins provided to dispose of any rubbish.
 

Dogs;

Dogs are welcome but must be supervised and kept on a lead at all times.

Photography;

Please be aware that photo’s will be taken throughout this event and may appear on social media or other promotional platforms. If you do not wish to be photographed please let a member of staff know.

*This event will finish at 2:30pm and after this time all activities will be closed.
