Recycle your Cycle

Friday 16th December 11am to 2pm Salisbury Close car park, Potters Bar, EN6 5AX.

Are you getting a new bike for Christmas? Maybe you’re having a clear out and have one lying unused in the garage or shed?

Christmas is a time for giving and what better way to donate (for free!) than by getting rid of something you no longer use knowing that it could end up as a gift for someone else!

Recycle your Cycle is a charity that collect unwanted bikes, take them to HM prisons across the country where they are repaired by inmates. As part of this rehabilitation programme, jobs are created alongside training for future employment upon release. The refurbished bikes are then given to charities who sell them on to raise vital funding.

So, bring along your bikes on Friday 16 December to Salisbury Close car park in Potters Bar between 11am and 2pm. Any bike will do, children’s or adults. And it doesn’t matter if it’s not in full working order, looks a little worse for wear or has parts missing.
