Recycle your cycle

Recycle your Cycle Friday 20th January 2023 12pm to 2pm Bushey Country Club, High Street, Bushey, WD23 1TT

Did you get a new bike for Christmas? Maybe you’re having a clear out and have one lying unused in the garage or shed? What better way to start the new year than by donating something you no longer use knowing that it could end up as a useful gift for someone else! Recycle your Cycle is a charity that collect unwanted bikes, take them to HM prisons across the country where they are repaired by inmates. As part of this rehabilitation programme, jobs are created alongside training for future employment upon release. The refurbished bikes are then given to charities who sell them on to raise vital funding. So, bring along your bikes on Friday 20 January to the car park at Bushey Country Club (we’ll be down the end near the car wash) between 12pm and 2pm. Any bike will do, children’s or adults. And it doesn’t matter if it’s not in full working order, looks a little worse for wear or has parts missing. For any enquiries, please email street.scene@hertsmere.gov.uk or call Customer Services on 020 8207 7480   Find out more about Recycle your Cycle
