Radlett Petrol Station — Watling Street

As you are probably aware the petrol station on Watling Street has now closed and the building is being demolished. Starting this week a plywood hoarding will be installed along the front boundary to replace the temporary Heras fencing. There will be various surveys being carried out within the building, utilities will be cut off and they will start to strip out the interior. If there are any questions or comments regarding teh works please do not hesitate to contact the council and we will pass this on to the developer.

APC planting for the Queens Green Canopy

Aldenham Parish Council are pleased to be taking part in the Queens Green Canopy project. The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.

APC have already, with the Association of Jewish Refugees planted an Oak tree in Salters Field (part of the King George V Playing Fields off Cobden Hill. Now they have planted two lime trees on the edge of Salters Field where it borders Watling Street.

Over the next few weeks 105 native trees will be planted in the Picnic Field by local youth groups, and we have also had enquirers from local charities who wish to add to our collection.

Covid19 Impact Assessment

The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact daily life across the county.

In response, Hertfordshire’s Community Reassurance Cell, on behalf of the Local Resilience Forum, has launched a new survey to better understand the needs, challenges and aspirations of all Hertfordshire communities.

The online survey asks respondents a series of questions to collect views about the impact of coronavirus on their lives, what support is needed and how that has changed since the start of the pandemic. The survey results will be used to shape the county’s ongoing recovery plans, ensuring support is targeted where it is needed most.

Please do share your views and experiences by taking part in this short survey. Individuals aged 16 years and above living in Hertfordshire, as well as representatives of community groups or other local organisations based in Hertfordshire are invited to take part. It should take around 10 minutes to complete.

Your assistance in further promoting this survey through your networks would also be appreciated.

Please see the link to the survey here: www.opinionresearch.co.uk/Herts_Covid19_CIA_2021_22

This survey is open until Friday, 21 January 2022.
