Bike Marking & Registrations Event at Phillimore Recreational Ground, Radlett 🚴♀️🚴🚴♂️
Come along to the Herts Police bike marking and registration event.
Location: Phillimore Recreation Ground car park in Radlett.
Day and time: Sunday 28th April; from 2:00 until 4:00pm.
Bikes will be marked and registered on the bike register app. This could help identify your bike should it ever get stolen.
Male arrested in Radlett
A male has been arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle following a report of vans being broken in to in Radlett. On Saturday 20th April 2024 at 10:15 police received a 999 call reporting two males breaking into vans near to Radlett train station. Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, Team A Intervention and the Roads Policing Unit responded and sighted the suspects’ vehicle fleeing the scene. They initially made off from officers however following a decamp near Elstree Aerodrome one male was detained and arrested. Another male remains outstanding with enquiries ongoing. Due to the incident happening in the train station car park, officers from the British Transport Police attended and took the arrested male into custody. Compost Giveaway
Join us on Friday 10 May at Newberries car park in Radlett (WD7 7JH) from 10am-1pm for our Compost Giveaway. Simply bring along two of your own compost bags/rubble sacks and we will fill them for you, for free! Important information We will be filling bags ourselves from 10am so please leave your shovels at home and don’t arrive any earlier! Bags are limited to two per person present at the event, based on a 50ltr size. Any other bags or containers will be filled by us with an equivalent amount. We ask that you park sensibly (we can help you carry sacks to your car) and please be patient with our staff as we get through everyone! Compost is kindly supplied by Severn Trent Green Power. Read more about what can go in your green bin or composting at home. Has your green bin got a sticker? You now need to sign up to our Garden Waste Collection Service to have your green bin emptied. To allow people time to apply we will continue to collect all green bins until the end of May 2024 but from June 2024 if no sticker is displayed on a green bin it will not be collected. Have your say now on the new draft Local Plan for Hertsmere
You can now have your say on the future of Hertsmere, with a public consultation on our new draft Local Plan open until 29 May 2024. The Local Plan matters to all of the borough’s communities as it maps out the strategy and vision for Hertsmere until 2040. It focuses on a number of key areas, notably housing and employment site allocations, and the revisions that have been made since the previous consultation in 2021. These revisions include a 40 per cent reduction in the amount of Green Belt being lost and 9,400 new homes to meet our housing need – a fall of 22 per cent from the previous draft Local Plan.
