Consultation on revised solar farm proposal

A map of the area with markings to show the proposed solar farm site.Members of the public have a month to comment on some amended plans to create a 67-hectare solar farm near Aldenham.

Another planning application has been submitted by Elstree Green Limited seeking permission for the construction and operation for a grid-connected solar photovoltaic farm with battery storage and other ancillary infrastructure on land north of Butterfly Lane and surrounding Hilfield Farm, and west of Hilfield Lane (map of the location is pictured above left and available on our website). The application is a revised version of one which was submitted and refused permission in November last year. A planning appeal against this decision is currently underway and is due to be decided by public inquiry in the autumn. The current live application can be viewed by going to the HBC website www.hertsmere.gov.uk/planningsearch and searching for either Butterfly Lane or reference number 22/0948/FULEI.

Comments should be submitted before Saturday 23 July via the Hertsmere Borough Council website or by e-mailing consult.planning@hertsmere.gov.uk and quoting the case reference number. Please also copy in Aldenham Parish Council (manager@aldenham-pc.gov.uk) who will be discussing the plans at the Planning Committee meeting on 4th July 2022 at The Radlett Centre, 1 Aldenham Avenue Radlett
